QUICKGUIDE TO MAJOR GROUPS OF FRESHWATER INVERTEBRATES QuickGuide to Major Groups of Freshwater Invertebrates is a teaching/learning resource that provides a simple, fast, and accurate way to identify the more common and widespread groups of freshwater invertebrates of North America to the taxonomic levels of Class and Order.QuickGuide will be useful to teachers, students, naturalists, water quality monitors, landowners, aquatic resource managers, youth groups, and others interested in, or responsible for, studying, monitoring, or managing freshwater resources. QuickGuide is a modestly reorganized version of information contained in J. Reese Voshells A Guide to Common Freshwater Invertebrates of North America. The great advantage of the stand-alone version of QuickGuide is that it is easier to use in the larger format than is the guide in the book, and it can be used in the field or laboratory with minimal risk of damage by water or mud.QuickGuide is a laminated brochure, sealed on all four sides & is accordion-folded into 8 panels, each measuring 5 wide by 10 high.ABOUT THE AUTHOR:Dr. J. Reese Voshell, Jr., was born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina and grew up in Norfolk, Virginia. He holds a BS from Randolph-Macon College and a PhD from Virginia Tech.
