This book celebrates Ken's journey across America to catch 50 different species of fish, in all 50 states, in just 50 weeks; all on a fly rod! This expedition of sorts took place from 05 September 2003 through 14 August 2004. Ken and his wife, Betsy, traveled the lower 48 states in their RV, covering over 37,000 miles. Along the way, they got to experience America the old fashioned way; on the road and experience the many people, local cultures, and towns of this great country. This fishing extravaganza took place over three phases (see photo map), and also included flights to Hawaii and Alaska. Not only did Ken catch 50 species of fish in 50 states in 50 weeks, he ended up catching 85 different species and 1,841 fish in total. The Guinness Book of World Records recognized Ken's achievement and certified his record in 2005.
