Most recently, he wrote Give Me Mountains For My Horses, a collection of essays about horses that Reed has owned in his lifetime. He is a regular columnist of Wyoming Wildlife News and has won multiple awards from the Wyoming Wildlife Federation, the Association for Conservation Information, the Colorado Press Association and the Wyoming Press Association.
